# Fast Drafting Mode

Do you spend too much time agonising what you already wrote? The fast drafting mode helps you focus on moving forward.&#x20;

When enabled, you aren't allowed to delete any words from your draft. You can still remove whitespace and punctuation.

Just like writing long-hand or using a typewriter, you can cross out words using the \~\~strike-through\~\~ markers, but you can't remove anything from the draft.

### How To Enable the Fast Drafting Mode

You can toggle the fast drafting mode during a writing session. Click the menu button in the top-right corner of the screen:

Select *Fast Drafting* entry from the main menu:

A yellow lightning bolt icon will appear on the left size of the *Focus* indicator at the bottom of the editor:

Repeat the same process to disable the feature.
